Marches & Gloucestershire Viable Clusters Broadband Project Open Market Review

Tender description

The Marches and Gloucestershire Viable Clusters Broadband Project is the provisional name for a collaboration between Fastershire (Herefordshire and Gloucestershire), Connecting Shropshire and Superfast Telford. The project forms part of Stage 4 of the Fastershire Broadband Strategy. The project will target a portion of the £30m package of financial subsidy for Local Authorities in England announced recently by DEFRA to support Superfast Broadband interventions in the “final 5%” of exclusively rural areas. This funding is from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) programme. 57 clusters of premises which are deemed to be within the final 5% of the participating counties have been provisionally identified for investment via this project. This Open Market Review is to identify whether any premises in the areas that have been identified either have or may benefit from commercial investment to provide broadband speeds of 30Mbps or over in the future. Submissions to be returned as outlined within the MGVCP OMR Response Template that will be made available to providers following the submission of a completed PSMA licence agreement, found in the attachment to this notice.
