Tender description

This patient transport booking service will be provided through the provision of either a 0191/0333 number, and provides access for patients to book non-urgent transportation to pre-arranged appointments (subject to eligibility criteria) within the localities of Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Bookings are will be made via the North East Ambulance Service online booking system, between 9:00 - 17:00 Monday-Friday. The provider will also assist in resolving enquires, cancellations and re-booking of transportation, and provide information on transport options to those not eligible to use the service. North of England Commissioning Support working for, and on behalf of, NHS Newcastle Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Groups, wish to invite bidders to a market engagement event to discuss the proposed procurement of a patient transport booking service. The provider will book patient transportation to non-urgent, pre-arranged appointments (subject to assessing eligibility criteria,) via the North East Ambulance Service online booking system. The service will operate between 9-5pm Monday-Friday.
