Tender description

VisitScotland is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to deliver exhibition fit out services for its flagship event Expo in April 2018. VisitScotland wish to appoint a contractor for the hire, build and management of exhibition hall fit outs for VisitScotland Expo 2018, 2019 and 2020 (2020 dependent on contract being extended). The Successful contractor shall adhere to the requirements set out in Schedule 1 — Statement of Requirement, construct shell scheme exhibition stands and supply infrastructure, furniture and equipment which will be utilised throughout the lifecycle of this contract, storing maintaining and refurbishing. VisitScotland is the national tourism agency and as the lead public sector agency has a strategic role to provide leadership and direction to the Scottish tourism industry in order to get the maximum economic benefit for Scotland. It exists to support the development of the tourism industry in Scotland and to market Scotland as a quality destination. Organised by VisitScotland, Expo is Scotland's flagship business to business travel trade event. VisitScotland Expo offers the perfect opportunity for all businesses with a Scottish tourism product to showcase these products and services to potential buyers from around the globe. VisitScotland Expo is open to buyers from all sectors of the industry — coach tour operators, group travel organisers, conference and incentive buyers, travel agents and independent tour operators and wholesalers. They are specially selected from worldwide markets including the United Kingdom, rest of Europe, established markets such as the USA and Canada and also emerging markets like China and Russia.
