Tender description

The University is seeking to establish a contract for the supply of Reactive and Long Term Building Maintenance Services, where applicable, at the University's Telford Campus and Wolverhampton Science Park; summary details include but are not limited to the following: Mechanical and Electrical, General Building, Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting and Decorating, Floor Finishes, Reactive Out of Hours Call Out. The University is seeking to establish a contract for the supply of Reactive and Long Term Building Maintenance Services, where applicable, at the University's Telford Campus and Wolverhampton Science Park; summary details include but are not limited to the following: Mechanical and Electrical, General Building, Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting and Decorating, Floor Finishes, Reactive Out of Hours Call Out. Please note; the Contract may cover non-specialist Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), however does not cover specialist PPM activities. The role of the Contractor will be to also manage the University's PPM and Term Contractors via Principal Contractor role. — UK based organisations must hold a current and valid membership to Construction line. — The Tenderer's last two years' annual turnover must have been over 900 000 GBP each year — The Tenderer must hold an accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with BS OHSAS 18001 / a relevant Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate which includes Construction Contractor, Principal Contractor, and non-Construction as part of the SSIP audit. — The Tenderer must hold a related accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) or your own in-house Quality Management System consistent with ISO 9001. — The Tenderer must hold a related accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with ISO 14001 or equivalent (Environmental Management). — It is a mandatory requirement that the successful contractor can have suitable personnel on site within 4 hours of the call to attend a general maintenance activity. — You must be able to act as Principal Contractor if required at both locations. — The successful contractor must be able to provide Third Party Fire Preventative advice throughout the duration of the Contract.
