Tender description

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), seeks to appoint 1 or more suppliers to provide technical assistance, expert analysis, public policy recommendations, written reports, pilots implementation. This will improve the Business Environment, particularly Rule of Law, and will facilitate Mexico's economic growth and open opportunities for business, including UK business, with relevant capabilities. This programme aims to contribute to the following outcomes: a) Stronger and more transparent legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks for rule of law issues; b) An efficient and effective Mexican criminal justice system, especially in the prosecution of serious crimes; and c) Decreased incidence of corruption, and improved capacity of Mexican Authorities to tackle impunity. To support the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption System at national and local levels with a focus on capacity building, evaluation and institutional strengthening in compliance with the Global Anti-Corruption Agreement and the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). To support the consolidation of the adversarial justice system in Mexico, the proposed programme will focus on capacity building and institutional strengthening of law enforcement agencies, in both community policing and criminal investigation skills.
