Tender description

The provision of travel care and support services for children and young people with special educational needs, who primarily travel from home to school; and vulnerable adults who primarily travel from home to day care services, plus other locations as required. This procurement is to develop a Framework Agreement comprised of two lots. Lot 1 for minibus provision and lot 2 for taxi provision. The Council is undertaking the procurement in accordance with the Open Procedure of the Public Contracts Regulations (2015). The Lot 1 published requirements as detailed in the Tender price matrix will be called off at the point of appointment to the Framework, to the highest ranking tenderer. The Lot 1 provider will be expected to provide any additional services under the lot as required throughout the contract duration. This call off contract will be for a duration of 5 years, with the option to extend up to a further 2 years. Lot 2 will be called off as and when required for varying duration as set out in the ITT.
