Tender description
The Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust are seeking to procure an ICT Services provider. This will be done through a single supplier framework. At the point of going out to Tender there are a small number of Academies that require an ICT Managed Service, however once the framework is formed all Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies will be able to call off from the Framework if they require ICT Services. The Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT) currently oversees 30 Academies across Norfolk and Suffolk. The specification for the Framework of ICT Services is designed to meet the needs of all DNEAT Academies and Trust offices, should they choose to call off any of the framework of services offered under this contract. At the point of tender, a number of DNEAT Academies are in need of ICT Services as their existing services are unaffordable, are no longer meeting their needs, or are nearing end of term. We will therefore use the needs of this group of DNEAT Academies (the ‘Initial Recipients’) to form the initial instruction against the framework. The Initial Recipients are made up of 9 primary Academies seeking a full managed service. Each Academy is at a different stage of development with regards to their use of ICT. These Academies have also demonstrated differing levels of investment made in their solutions which strongly impacts the quality of their current service. Some Academies have been historically well-funded where others have been underfunded for some time. This range of school types is typical of DNEAT, and the managed service provider should take note of the breadth of solution quality across the Trust. A full description of the services required as part of this framework can be found within the Specification document contained within the tender document set.
