Tender description

Warwickshire County Council, acting as lead authority for the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW) Superfast Broadband Project, commenced an Open procurement procedure to extend its next generation access (NGA) infrastructure. The objective of the project is to raise the Superfast Broadband coverage within the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire region to 95 % to meet national requirements and surpass this level. The contract will be dependant on Funds from the European Regional Development Fund, BDUK via the Department and Culture, Media and Sport and the relevant Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) operating on a gap-funding basis. Prior to beginning this Procurement, the project team ran a Public Consultation informing interested bidders of its intentions. The objective of the procurement being to match and exceed the national target of attaining 95 % superfast broadband coverage with speeds of 30 Mbps or more.
