Local Authorities in the Dublin region, which includes Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council produce up to 3,000 items of postage per working day. They have a combined annual spend on postage services of over EUR1M. Dublin City Council will shortly go to tender for the provision of Postal Services in the Dublin Region. They have a combined annual spend on postage services of over EUR1M. Dublin City Council will shortly go to tender for the provision of Postal Services in the Dublin Region. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is being used to invite interested economic operators to participate in market consultation in respect of all aspects of Postal Services available. The purpose of this market consultation is to examine and consider the various technical and commercial options which are available. It will aid Dublin City Council in the development of the procurement strategy for the forthcoming tender, and, possibly, for subsequent competitions. The procurement strategy may include the possibility of using Lots per Local Authority. Please note that this is not a call for competition and no tender documents are available at this stage. Also the process will not be utilised in order to preclude any future competition to be conducted by Dublin City Council.
