Tender description

The University of Essex is seeking tenders for the provision of Global Student Materials Fulfilment and Distribution Services. The desired outcome of this procurement is to have one sole provider meeting the requirements of our Communications and External Relations (CER) department and provide them with an online ordering system as well as delivering prospectuses and marketing materials direct from storage provided by the supplier. Currently, the University of Essex uses various companies to deliver worldwide which involves large amounts of manual paperwork to be completed. The successful supplier must be able to provide a full service which has an efficient online portal. The successful supplier must provide a fully automated service for the provision of Global Student Materials Fulfilment and Distribution Services. This includes UK warehouse storage facility to hold approx. 75 000 prospectuses and additional marketing materials. The successful supplier will be responsible for delivering Global Student Materials Fulfilment and Distribution Services worldwide for approx. 300 recruitment events and 500 agents mailings on an annual basis. Due to how this process is run currently, the successful supplier is required to offer a full documentation service including customs clearance. This procurement is due to commence on 15.9.2017. The initial period of the contract will be for two years with an option to extend for a further two, in one year periods (1 + 1). Based on current reporting, expenditure is 200 000 per annum but the University does not guarantee consistency or an increase with spend.
