Provision of Medical Services

Tender description

TII has a requirement to make available certain medical and occupational medical services to all employees. TII requires a ‘One Stop Shop’ medical centre which shall cover all the requirements of TII or shall provide the services of suitable sub-consultants to provide those services not standard in their own practice. The Consultant must be able to provide all or most of the following, non-exhaustive, list of services (or provide suitable sub-consultants where they are unable to provide the Service themselves) for persons nominated by/referred by TII’s HR Department: • General GP services - visits • Employer staff referrals (with and without the production of a report) including Return to Work medicals, if and when required • Pre-employment medicals • Pre-employment medical overviews (e.g. where potential inbound employee has medical completed abroad, which a review on behalf of TII) • Health checks for staff every two or three years to include blood tests, cholesterol tests and, where necessary, heart check tests • Absentee management assessments and reports • Assessments in relation to ill health retirements • Assessments in relation to critical illness cases (in accordance with the Civil Service sick leave provisions) • Minor occupational accident care • On-call visits when appropriate (exceptional cases) • Travel vaccinations • Vaccinations against occupational related hazards (e.g. for working in/near contaminated water, waste grounds) • Flu jabs (to be delivered annually on site within TII) • Eyesight tests (e.g. colour blindness tests) . • Drug & alcohol testing (the facility to do a D&A test - on site or, depending on the circumstances, at the medical centre - following an incident or for random testing). • Access to physiotherapy services • Counselling services as required (TII also has an Employee Assistance Programme in place)
