Tender description
A Framework is required for various motorcycle-specific clothing and accessories. The Framework is split into eight (8) Lots: Lot 1 — Winter Waterproof Over-Jacket Lot 2 — Summer Waterproof Over-Jacket Lot 3 — Light-Weight Tabard Lot 4 — All-Season Waterproof Over Trousers Lot 5 — Mid Layer Wind Protection Garments Lot 6 — Winter Undergarments Lot 7 — All-Season Undergarments Lot 8 — Appointment Holder The Framework will be established as a direct call-off arrangement and made available to twenty-four (24) Police Forces across England and Wales, as named in the Invitation to Tender document. For the provision of a high-visibility heavy-weight waterproof over-jacket. To be worn in cold and wet weather conditions, suitable for both Male and Female Police Officers. The jacket is to be worn over the protective suit to ensure that the Rider is easily identifiable as a Police Officer. Goods must comply with BS EN 343:2003+A1:2007 [Protective clothing. Protection against rain] and BS EN ISO 20471:2013 [High visibility clothing. Test methods and requirements]. Full details are available in the Invitation to Tender Document. Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of conformity to the required standards. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. Further information regarding quantities and timescales can be found in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document. For the provision of high-visibility (hi-vis) light-weight waterproof over-jacket. To be worn in warm and mild but wet weather conditions, suitable for both Male and Female Police Officers. The jacket is to be worn over the protective suit to ensure that the Rider is easily identifiable as a Police Officer. Goods must comply with BS EN 343:2003+A1:2007 [Protective clothing. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. For the provision of a long sleeve high-visibility light-weight tabard, suitable for both Male and Female Police Officers, in dry weather conditions. The purpose of the tabard is to be worn over the protective suit to ensure that the Rider is easily identifiable as a Police Officer. Goods must comply with BS EN ISO 20471:2013 [High visibility clothing. Test methods and requirements]. Full details are available in the Invitation to Tender Document. Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of conformity to the required standards. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. For the provision of a mid-layer long sleeve wind-proof top and mid-layer full leg wind-proof trouser. Mid-layers are to be worn between other layers such as a wicking shirt and the protective suit, for keeping warm and comfortable in windy conditions. For the provision of a close fit full leg length legging and a close fit long-sleeve top to be worn underneath the protective suit during cold winter conditions. Full details are available in the Invitation to Tender Document. Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of conformity to the required standards. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. For the provision of a close fit full leg length legging and a close fit long-sleeve top to be worn underneath the protective suit during both summer and winter conditions. For the provision of a boot/ lower calf-height carry-strap or holder capable of securely retaining Police Appointments such as Asp/ Baton, CS/ PAVA Spray and Handcuffs.
