Tender description

The forthcoming contract will be a second generation contract to provide NHS Wales with a range of lymphoedema and compression products. The contract will mostly consist of off the shelf and made to measure upper and lower limb garments, but will also include miscellaneous products such as wraps, glue, toe caps and donning aids. As part of a current service redesign all Lymphoedema Compression garments, including those which would have previously been ordered via prescription, are being procured under secondary care via this contract. As a result an additional expenditure of approximately 1 million GBP will be reassigned from prescription expenditure to contract expenditure. This contract is likely to be further divided into lots, the precise configuration of which will be confirmed when the tender documentation is released.
