VIVID currently have 2 Supply Contracts which come to an end on the 31.3.2018. We will shortly commence an OJEU procurement process to ensure we have new supplier/s in place by the 1.4.2018. Within the tender documentation we will request: Value for money — not limited to the cost of materials, but through stock rationalisation, van stock replenishment, reduction in 3rd party purchases; Full integration of our systems with the successful tenderer, allowing for van stock replenishment, better auditing facilities, improved job costing and tighter purchasing control; Improved services for VIVID — giving consideration to deliveries to site, drop boxes, out of hours services, welfare facilities for our trade-staff visiting branches. Consolidated invoicing, Mobile working areas for staff with laptops/a desktop to log on from, Area for trade waste/equipment to conform with EA regulations, Out of Hours facilities, Environmental/Sustainability. VIVID has 323 Trade-staff who carry out repairs and services to our 30 000 homes. Annually our building maintenance teams carry out approximately 86 000 repairs, our heating team carry out 15 000 repairs and our electrical staff carry out 8 000 repairs. We Refurbished 200 kitchens, 400 bathrooms and brought 1 150 void properties back to decent home standard The possible annual values are not a guarantee of Contract value for each Lot. VIVID Build commenced trading in 2012, as a building contractor delivering new build and refurbished homes for our parent company housing association. In 2017-18 we will be completing 265 new build houses and flats, and have a strategy to deliver between 200 and 300 homes per year over the next 5 years. Our homes are predominantly low-rise, built using traditional brick/block construction, but also including some timber SIPS panel builds, and we are investigating expanding our use of timber frame/SIPS. We will require a wide range of building materials to service our construction programme. The potential provider will need to keep a stock of this clothing to enable us to order clothing and have it delivered/collected in a timely manner.
