Tactical Hearing Protection System Specialist User+ (THPS SU+)

Tender description

The Authority has a requirement for a dual-layered hearing protection solution to form part of the Tactical Hearing Protection System (THPS) project. The solution should consist of a circum aural (over-ear) electronic level dependent headset that provides both hearing protection and two-way communications by integrating with current MOD radios, and an in-ear moisture resistant plug that should integrate seamlessly and not interfere with the headset to offer a complete system. The system should ensure that the MOD can offer dual-layered hearing protection that is fully compliant with the Control of Noise At Work Regulations (CNAWR) 2005. This PIN is to alert the market to the potential future requirement and is not a formal request for Expression of Interest (EOI). A Contract Notice and Dynamic PQQ is planned to be issued in October 2017 to request EOIs which shall reference this PIN.
