The parks and green spaces service is responsible for the management and maintenance of over 3,088 acres (1,250 hectares) of parkland and open space across the city approximately 17 per cent of the city’s area. In addition the service carries out work for a number of areas of the council, from housing estates, playing fields, highway verges to small factory units. This includes grounds maintenance, tree management, landscape construction and bereavement services. Leicester City Council (the Authority) Parks and Green Spaces Services invites Quotations for the provision of Plant purchase – Water Bowser. As a result of large areas of parks and green spaces to be covered for the provision of water, there has been a need to procure a Bowser. The Authority wishes to ensure that its procurement opportunities are open to small and micro local enterprises and voluntary and community sector organisations as it appreciates the very important role they play in the local economy. Quotations from these organisations are particularly welcomed. Applicants should note that due to the technicality of the software package being used to create this advert, this Opportunity will become "invisible" at midnight on 24th August 2017; Applicants are therefore requested to save all documentation relating to this Opportunity locally.
