Tender description

The Council wishes to procure an upgraded telecare delivery platform that has the capability to fully support its investment in existing assets whilst maximising the opportunity to use developing digital technologies to keep vulnerable people safe & help them to stay in control of their lives. The Council intends to continue to increase the range of devices for which it has direct monitoring capability to enable where practical the avoidance of the need for commissioning of external providers to provide monitoring services on its behalf. It is the ambition of the Council to offer to the residents of the district a range of assistive technology and telecare solutions aimed at supporting vulnerable people to live safely and independently in their own home. This requires a solution with the capability to integrate with existing and future social care applications, provide support for lone workers and enable the monitoring of building securities.
