Council Tax Single Person Discount Audit

Tender description

Cornwall last reviewed all single person discounts on Council Tax accounts in 2012. Between that review and the present has used the annual NAFN reports to identify discounts with mis-matches against electoral registration data. The Council now wishes to put in place a new arrangement. The service required is for:- 1. A full risk based review of all current single person discounts with accounts falling within agreed risk categories being reported to the council for investigation. 2. Ongoing monitoring using clear evidence based alerts to inform of changes in entitlement on a monthly basis. The Council is interested in meeting with organisations who can provide such a service and would invite anyone interested to email shinde@cornwall.gov.uk. The route by which this work will be procured is currently uncertain and may be via Bloom, existing frameworks or a standalone tender.
