Tender description

This tender is for project activity 4.1c ‘Waterside Shared Village’. This project is part of the ‘Shared Spaces and Services’ work-plan for the council's PEACE IV programme. The PEACE IV Waterside Shared Village programme will focus on areas of work which complement and do not duplicate other areas of existing funding such as the PEACE IV Interface Investment Programme and DOJ interfaces monies managed by council. Specifically this programme will focus on sustained cross-community contact programmes for residents of the recognised interface area at Gobnascale/Top of the Hill and Irish Street in the Waterside area of the city. These programmes will run within the time-frame 1.7.2017 — 31.12.2020 i.e. a maximum 3.5 year programme of activity. Community consultation has indicated that despite historic divisions and physical barriers in this interface area, there is currently a high level of cross-community and cross-interface working at the level of community workers and groups. A cross-community programme for residents is realistic and achievable if programmes are tailored to meet identified local needs.
