Tender description

The Council is seeking an understanding of the market interest in a significant and landmark development opportunity for 3 sites located at a prominent location on Lea Bridge Road close to the junction with Orient Way and the recently reopened Lea Bridge Station. The sites are in Council ownership and currently comprise mainly open, grassed areas. The Council is seeking to dispose of these 3 Gateway sites, with a Development Agreement and 250 year Building Lease, to facilitate the delivery of high-quality residential led mixed use development, including a new and enhanced entrance for Lea Bridge Station. More details regarding the development opportunities offered by the sites, and the Council's requirements and aspirations, are provided in the DRAFT Development Brief attached within the portal at https://www.londontenders.org/ The market engagement exercise will seek the views of potential developers through 1 to 1 meetings. This information will be used to inform the design of the commercial arrangements, to understand the level of interest from the market and inform the procurement strategy. Developer Days will be held in early September 2017, please register your interest on londontenders portal. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition for the purposes of Regulation 26(9) of the Public Contracts regulation 2015 — a specific call for competition for this planned procurement will be published by means of a contract notice in Autumn 2017. The proposed procurement procedure is Competitive Dialogue. Participating in this market engagement exercise is not a pre-requisite to participating in the formal procurement to be commenced by the Council in relation to this opportunity.
