Tender description

Various New build and refurbishment projects for local authorities, education authorities, further educationauthorities, police and fire authorities, health authorities and other public bodies. Four value bands covering various geographical lots across the England and Wales. It is proposed that Tenders will be able to apply for up to 2 value bands. The value bands are: Value Band 1: Project values up to 2 000 000 GBP. Is split into either New Build or Refurbishment projects. The following value bands are for New Build and Refurbishment works. Value Band 2: Project values 2 000 000 GBP and 4 000 000 GBP New build and refurbishment. Value Band 3: Projects values Between 4 000 000 GBP to 10 000 000 GBP New build and refurbishment. Value Band 4: Project values over 10 000 000 GBP. A maximum of 4 Company's will be awarded to each lot. The provision of Construction services for new build, extensions and refurbishment with associated works for Schools and community buildings. New build, extensions and associated works with a supported design service. General Refurbishment works with a supported design service, which will include but not be limited to the following: a. External Refurbishment Works covering replacement of flat and pitched roof coverings, replacement windows and doors, external cladding and insulation works and all associated building works, external landscaping works including resurfacing of car parks and playgrounds, refurbishment of existing and installation of new multi use games areas and other types of sports facilities including ground works, drainage, fencing and associated electrical works. b. Internal Refurbishment Works covering i refurbishment of science labs and home economics facilities andother educational learning environments, refurbishment of sanitary facilities, sports changing facilities with associated electrical and mechanical works with a supported design service ii Internal refurbishment and remodeling of community buildings with all associated builders works and electrical and mechanical services works. This framework can be used by any public sector body or organisation subject to Public Procurement Regulations throughout Wales including but not limited to Local Authorities, Education Authorities, Further Education Authorities, Academies, Police Authorities, Fire Authorities, Public Health Authorities, NHS trusts,Tenant Management Organisations and Registered Providers of social housing. LHC Clients are required to consider community benefits on each and every contract. Tenderers must be aware that LHC Clients may add community benefit requirements at call off stage. The Contractor shall ensure that all contracts with Subcontractors and Suppliers which the Contractor intends to procure following the Commencement Date, and which the Contractor has not, before the date of this Contract,already planned to award to a particular Subcontractor or Supplier, are advertised through the relevant portal(in Wales on sell2wales and awarded following a fair,open,transparent and competitive process proportionate to the nature and value of the contract.
