Mary Caley Play Area Refurbishment

Tender description

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council invites tenders for the provision of playground equipment at the Mary Caley play area in Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells TN4. Our project is to re-develop the worn down playground so that it's both visually exciting and physically challenging for children. New equipment included in the design will cater for children from 0 - 12 years of age. The provision will comprise new and refurbished play equipment, paths, outdoor furniture and fencing. The works will include: removal and disposal of damaged / worn equipment, groundworks - mechanical excavation and creating of new levels / areas, refurbishment of existing paths and creation of new footpaths (with paving and tarmac surfacing); supplying and installation of: new play equipment for toddlers and older children, steel fencing and picnic tables. New areas of wet pour safety surface will need to be created, and old / damaged surfacing will need to be refurbished. Works will include elements of soft landscaping (trees and bulbs planting). We anticipate starting of the project at the end of April 2017 and completing the project by Summer 2017. Documents are available for download from the Kent Business Portal website.
