Tender description

AHDB require a provider of monthly trade data to deliver data in an easy to access format which can be linked directly with our in-house analytics tool. The data must be provided in a timely manner, no more than 72 hours after it is released by the relevant countries Customs and Excise departments. The quality of the data must mirror that produced from Customs and Excise in the relevant countries, allowing AHDB to reproduce and publish the data. There is a requirement for historic HS code data going back for a minimum period of 10 years. All data should cover HS codes from the following sectors: o Cereals and Oilseeds; o Beef and Lamb; o Pork; o Potatoes; o Horticulture; o Dairy. This service will be renewed on an annual basis, although a multi-year contract option will be considered if it is felt that this gives better value for money for the required outcome. Currently AHDB collects trade data from a myriad of sources, which vary greatly in their timelines and reliability. The service currently provided is the delivery of timely, monthly data, covering the countries and HS trade codes that AHDB needs to study. This information is delivered to the Market Intelligence division (AHDB MI), who provide support to our sectors and directly to the industry. It provides the information and analysis, which informs the decisions that lead to the change and improvements within the industry, making it more competitive and sustainable. — Timely and accurate delivery of data; — Provision of HS code data from over 30 of the most relevant countries for each sector; — Historic HS code data, for a period of a minimum of 10 years; — Back up support to ensure a consistent flow of data to AHDB from the supplier; — Training to be provided by the supplier to AHDB to maximise the efficiency of data usage; — Delivery of data through FTP protocol; — Data to be in the format excel/csv/txt; — Data to be an accurate representation of the outputs from the relevant countries customs offices; — All the required HS codes must be pulled through on a timely basis. o No less than 98 % accuracy. Issues to be corrected within 24 hours. o Data is delivered in the agreed format to AHDB from April 2017, and then on a monthly basis, no later than the 5th working day of the month.
