Tender description

BSO Procurement and Logistics Service, PaLS, on behalf of Health and Social Care. HSC. Northern Ireland intends to issue a tender for a regional healthcare information benchmarking service. The details of the contractual arrangement and if this requirement is to be split into lots is yet to be decided. The estimated date for publication of the contract notice is June/July 2017. It's envisaged that the scope may include: Provision of a comparative web enabled benchmarking platform, support services. Access to UK /Northern Ireland peer data. Ability to provide multilayer reporting including: Efficiency, productivity, modernisation, reform, patient safety, outcomes,and data quality. It's expected data sources will be largely sourced from Trusts' Patient Administration Systems but it's likely that benchmarking from other data sources will be a requirement, including Emergency Department Systems. The main service areas will cover all activity for acute ‘bed holding’ specialty areas including Inpatient. Daycase treatment, all Outpatient referrals, activity, regular day/night attenders, outcomes, treatment, activity relating to waiting lists, Emergency Department Activity. A pro-active approach may be required to ensure integration of the service across all service areas within HSC.
