Tender description
Support for Independent Living in Staffordshire. For the avoidance of doubt this is not a Call for Competition this is to initiate a Market Engagement/ Soft Market Testing process. Staffordshire County Council (the Council) in conjunction with Lichfield District Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme District Council, South Staffordshire Council, Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Tamworth Borough Council and possible other Public Bodies wish to commission a new Service aimed at supporting people to live independently in Staffordshire in homes which meet their needs. The Service will include; advice and information, access and assessment, access to minor repairs and adaptations (including support to move home from hospital or residential care), major adaptations, support to consider and move to alternative accommodation, assistive technology including referrals to telecare providers and may include, home safety, home security and energy efficiency improvements. This will include liaison with other providers who provide complimentary services. The current contracts which are in place for the delivery of some of these services will come to an end in March 2018. The total estimated annual budget for the provision of the Service is 5 800 000 GBP. The budget allocation is subject to review on an annual basis. As part of the market engagement process, an event will be held to obtain feedback from interested bidders to help shape the model and future provision. The event will be held at 11:00 Thursday 3.8.2017 at the Kingston Centre, Fairway, Stafford, ST16 3TW. There will also be a Soft Market Testing Questionnaire which will provide the opportunity to input into the model and shape the future specification.
