Tender description

The Princess Elizabeth Hospital is undertaking a project to replace the majority of its bed stock; this will include replacement of al non specialist beds and mattresses. The clinical team have created a bed strategy which identifies the use of a variety of bed models, which meets the needs of 100% of patient and clinical needs. The strategy is designed to provide a greater bed availability and allow for streamlined maintenance and support. A key part of the strategy is for the day to day support to be provided in house through the PEH EBME team, with annual maintenance service, which will ensure the equipment’s longevity, completed by the awarded supplier. The replacement bed project will be implemented in phases; phase one will consist of the supply of a minimum of 12 specialist beds, upon a successful evaluation the awarded supplier will become the primary provider for this specialist bed type for the next 5 years. We are looking to award to a single supplier will suitable skill, knowledge and experience to provide a ‘turnkey solution’ for the specification, supply, removal of legacy equipment, installation, commissioning and training of the beds stock.
