Tender description

This PIN gives advance notice that the Clinical Chemistry Department of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust intends to undertake a tendering exercise for the provision of HbA1c measurement, serum & urine electrophoresis & immunifixation testing services contract. The Contracting Authority is looking to let 1 contract with 2 lots & suppliers will be able to bid for one or both lots. Lot 1 HbA1c measurement testing Lot 2 Serum and urine electrophoresis and immunifixation testing This notice also provides information for potential tenderers to register for an upcoming supplier event. Northumbria NHS Trust intends to carry out a tendering exercise for a 5 year contract, with an optional 2 year extension for the equipment, reagents & services including IT connectivity into either our Laboratory information system (DXC Telepath) or laboratory middleware (Instrument manager) to replace our existing HbA1c analysers, automated capillary electrophoresis &gel system for Clinical Chemistry. The procurement of a contract for HbA1C measurement and Serum and Urine electrophoresis and immunifixation testing solutions to deliver the repertoire of tests outlined in this notice & further detailed in any subsequent specification. Lot 1 includes the replacement of analysers for the total workload of 170 000 HBA1C per year. The scope includes the replacement of existing equipment for the provision of HbA1C analysis & electrophoresis system for serum samples (Capillary system) & Gel based system for urine electrophoresis, the supply of all associated consumables&reagents, installation, implementation, support, IT connectivity, maintenance & user training. The procurement of a contract for HbA1C measurement and Serum and Urine electrophoresis and immunifixation testing solutions to deliver the repertoire of tests outlined in this notice and as further detailed in any subsequent specification. Lot 2 includes the replacement of analysers for 9350 protein electrophoresis screens, with @1850 immunofixation, Immunotyping confirms & 2500 bence jones protein screens and @1100 immunofixation confirms per year. The scope includes the replacement of existing equipment for the provision of HbA1C analysis & electrophoresis system for serum samples (Capillary system) &Gel based system for urine electrophoresis, the supply of all associated consumables & reagents, installation, implementation, support, IT connectivity, maintenance & user training.
