Tender description

Bournemouth Borough Council is seeking tenders for the testing, servicing and repair of establishment and emergency lighting systems, to ensure that all systems are operating correctly and comply with current safety regulations. The works shall be the testing, servicing and repair of establishment and emergency lighting systems and comprise the following elements: a) Day to day repairs to faulty internal, external and emergency lighting on receipt of an emailed order or telephone call from the Councils Housing Repairs Centre. b) Annual cleaning of all internal, external and emergency fittings (excluding lighting columns) shall be carried out when resetting the time clocks at the end of British Summer Time. c) Visit all sites to adjust time clocks to summer/winter GMT. d) Monthly testing of all emergency lighting. e) 3 monthly test and inspection of all internal lighting. f) 3 monthly testing of all emergency lighting. g) Annual service to all emergency lighting and supply certificate. The length of the contract is for 2 years with the option to extend the contract annually for a further 2 years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for 4 years. It is anticipated that the contract will start on 1.11.2017.
