Tender description

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is the largest orthopaedic hospital in the UK and requires the development of 2 new staff accommodation blocks providing 36 units (60 bed spaces and 72 bedrooms) on their current hospital site, located on Brockley Hill, Stanmore, Middlesex. RNOH also require the 2 new staff accommodation blocks plus 1 additional existing block (3 in total) to be managed and operated. RNOH are considering their options for the delivery of the new accommodation blocks and are seeking to engage respondents with suitable experience and capabilities to complete a short Market Engagement Survey to inform an appropriate procurement process. RNOH are considering their options for the delivery of the new accommodation blocks and are proposing to procure a third party partner to construct, own and manage the accommodation — potentially under a Design, Build, Finance and Operate (DBFO) contract. The third party partner would undertake the further management of the units and lease them (for circa 100 years) directly to the hospital's staff (in the first instance). RNOH would have a Nominations Agreement with the provider to provide access to the accommodation for staff and to influence the rent and management regime. The third party partner is also expected to manage and operate an existing staff accommodation block of 9 units. RNOH require the construction of the accommodation blocks to be completed by February 2019.
