EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST and PREQUALIFICATION FOR LARGE AREAS OF SEAWALL REPOINTING, GUERNSEY. The States of Guernsey Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure invites for the expressions of interest and the completion of a prequalification questionnaire from suitably qualified Contractors for inclusion on a select list of Contractors to be invited to tender for various work packages (contracts) involving medium to large areas of seawall repointing in Guernsey. The work packages (contracts) will be situated at various coastal sites in Guernsey, where sections of seawall repointing are required. The exact sites will be prioritised and separate tenders issued for each location as part of an anticipated programme of maintenance. Works: The works will be to repoint areas on the seaward side, capping and the roadward side of the seawalls. The scale of repointing works areas will generally range from: Medium: 25m2 to 200m2 Large: 200m2 + There may also be some areas of localised seawall rebuilding required within each or any work package tendered. Most sites will require access scaffolding and excavation of the beach levels to reach the base of the seawall. Works are likely to take place throughout the year with a preference for Spring through to Autumn working. The individual work packages shall be tendered through a traditional ‘Best Value’ procurement route comprising detailed drawings and bills of quantities. The form of contract for medium to large scale work packages shall be either the ICE Conditions of Contract for Minor Works (3rd Edition, May 2008) or ICC Form of Contract amended for use in Guernsey. The tendering period for each works package is likely to be approximately 3 weeks. For inclusion within the select list in advance of any future tendering, contractors are required to express their interest and complete the attached pre-qualification questionnaire by noon on Monday 10th July 2017.
