Tender description

The aim is to support our in-house teams in providing an efficient and effective service of adaptations for disabled residents. Repairs for the breakdown of stair-lifts, hoists and other equipment will need to be responded to in a timely manner and during out of hours. Annual servicing of products is required. Other servicing/testing may be requested as part of the contract. This will include all types of testing, servicing and repair of specialist equipment in line with occupational therapists' recommendations. Examples of work which may be carried out under the proposed agreements include but not limited to testing, servicing and repair of specialist equipment including: — Stair-lifts; — Ceiling track hoists (and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) testing of slings); — Through-floor lifts; — Step-lifts; — Removal and storage of equipment and reinstall; — Other electrical adaptations such as toilet seats and electrical door openers.
