Tender description
Cumbria County Council requires a Framework to provide a range of transport services to transport vulnerable people (including children and young adults) to and from various Pupil Referral Units and exclusion establishments, generally within the geographical boundaries of Cumbria. The framework is split in to geographical areas or ‘Lots’. Operators can identify the geographical areas they are bidding to work in, and can bid for 1, more than 1, or all areas. The ‘Lots’ will be; (1) North: (inc. Gilford Centre, Kingmoor Assessment Unit & Progress School) (2) Barrow (3) South Lakes (4) West: (Including West Cumbria Learning Centre & Richmond House). Cumbria County Council requires a Framework to provide a range of transport services to transport vulnerable people (including children and young adults) to and from various Pupil Referral Units and exclusion establishments, generally within the geographical boundaries of Cumbria. The Council expressly reserves the right: (I)not to award any contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice; (II)to make whatever changes it may see fit to the content and structure of the tendering competition; (III)in no circumstances will the Council be liable for any costs incurred during the procurement process If the Council decides to enter into a Contract with the successful supplier(s),this does not mean that there is any guarantee of subsequent contracts being awarded. Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgment of potential suppliers. (IV)Any in house bids submitted by the Council will be considered & assessed in the same manner as any other bid submitted.
