Tender description

Prior Information Notice for the establishment of a framework for the Refurbishment and Maintenance of data network cabling infrastructure in buildings across Trinity College Dublin sites. This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and not a call for competition. Refurbishment extends to survey, design, supply and install and commission. The contracts will also include works associated with the Refurbishment and Maintenance of the data network such as the removal and installation of data network equipment affixed to permanent structures. The contracts will also include works associated with the Refurbishment and Maintenance of the data network such as the removal and installation of data network equipment affixed to permanent structures. The Agreement will cover the entire Trinity College property portfolio including but not limited to; Dublin city centre ‘Campus’ containing circa 125 buildings covering 180 000 m2 floor area, the ‘Adjacent Sites’ comprising 16 building/building clusters covering 57 000 m2 floor area and ‘Satellite Sites’ in Dublin comprising 10 buildings / building clusters covering 56 000 m2 floor area. The works will be generally be in 2 categories as follows: Category 1: Refurbishment and Maintenance works associated with existing communication rooms within buildings. Task Orders vary in size from single data outlet or Access Point remove/install to multiple. Anticipated frequency of task orders circa 5 to 10 times per quarter. Category 2: Refurbishment and Maintenance associated with new comms rooms within buildings (infrequent occurrence). Task Orders vary in size typically from 10 to 24 data outlets, infrequently circa once per quarter. This may involve the establishment of a competitive multi-supplier framework with the possibility of division into lots. This process is a statement of potential contracts or frameworks for the next 12 months but is not a commitment to purchase. The contract call off will be by means of a mini competition between framework members.
