Tender description

The appointment will be for the supply and installation of modular accommodation units on three proposed sites within Chelmsford. There are 2 variants of modular unit, single occupant 27ft x 12ft and family 42ft x 12ft. The layout and size of these units are fixed. The modular unit specification, layouts and proposed elevations are contained in the tender documents. Chelmsford City Council intends to appoint the supply and installation contract to up to 2 tenderers on the basis of most economically advantageous tender (MEAT). Details of the evaluation methodology, evaluation criteria, sub-criteria and weightings that will be used by CCC are set out in the tender documents. The Council has divided this procurement into two lots to allow for consideration of the relative merits of offsite modular construction of permanent dwellings, and modular units that are able to be relocated at a later date. The Lots have been divided into two. Lot One comprising Beeches Road and Fox Crescent, and Lot Two comprising Navigation Road as described in the tender documents.
