Tender description

The School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds is seeking tenders for a liquid handling robot for use in compound library management, combinatorial sample preparation and the setting up of biological assays and chemical reaction arrays. The system will replace a Hamilton Star system currently in use. Our current system requires a significant degree of user supervision by technical staff. We would very much like the new system to enable users to generate their own protocols with the minimum of training and technical knowledge about the equipment. In this exercise we anticipate that the system will meet the following basic requirements: Pipetting accuracy equivalent to, or better than, our current equipment, A 96-channel dispensing head, Support for data import and export to facilitate sample management.
