We are now conducting soft market testing exercises to understand market capability and appetite. The feedback obtained will be used to shape our procurement strategies. Expressions of interest are now invited from potential contractors and suppliers who are content to participate in the soft market testing exercise. This PIN notice does not formally bind Bromford to proceed with any procurement exercises ans is purely for market engagement purposes. In the event that Bromford decides to proceed with any procurement processes pursuant to this PIN separate contract notices will be issued. The Contracting Authority — Bromford Housing Group Ltd (‘Bromford’) is a group of registered providers of social housing and support services, including Bromford Housing Association Limited, Bromford Home Ownership Limited, Bromford Assured Homes Limited and Bromford Developments Limited. Bromford are based predominantly in central England, operating within the administrative areas of 58 local authorities including across the West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Cirencester, Cotswolds, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and some areas of East Wales. Creating strong thriving communities has been Bromford's passion for over 50 years, the organisation currently manages 29,000 properties, providing a place to call home for over 60,000 people. In 2015/16, Bromford invested £50m from its surpluses and reserves to commence construction of 727 new homes, with 465 completed within that financial year. In order to deliver the new homes, and to maintain its existing housing stock, Bromford is in the process of developing procurement strategies to acquire contractors who can provide both general and specialist works as well as suppliers who can provide materials, services and utilities. In summary the commodities that Bromford is currently considering are as follows:- Materials including: Building. Plumbing. Heating. Electrical. Timber. Doors. Fencing Panels. Cleaning & vehicle consumables. Ironmongery. Plastic. Paint. Tiles & floor-coverings. Kitchen fittings. Bathroom fittings & sanitary-ware. Grounds maintenance supplies. Hand and power tools. PPE / corporate work-wear. Grounds maintenance machinery. Bricks & Blocks. Roof trusses. Timber & joists. Stair-cases (design & supply). Mortar (ready mixed). Bromford is considering which requirements may be included in any proposed contract / framework agreement and the above list should not be considered as conclusive or final. Bromford may hold potential supplier / contractor engagement days. These will focus upon informing and shaping procurement strategies and to identify opportunities to improve service delivery efficiency and effectiveness and or reduce costs, testing ideas, visions and objectives, to identify opportunities, innovation and supply market offerings. Bromford is under no obligation to follow up the event day in any way or with any interested parties.
