Summary of the work Technical Design Resource available to support the Pegasus Voice, Video Teleconferencing and Coalition Wide Area Network; collectively known as Unified Communications (UC) Project in delivering its output to meet the Internationally agreed Programme of work. Specialist role Programme manager Expected Contract Length The Contract will be for 12 months and will include 2 x 6 month extension options funding pending Latest start date Monday 10 July 2017 Maximum Day Rate We will pay up to £775 per day EX VAT to include agency fees. Please note that Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment, take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset. Who Speclialist Work With Civilian, Military and contractors within the ISG/IUS/GC teams, International partners and members of the Combined Communications Electronics Board. What Specialists Work On Production and on-going maintenance of a Service Design Package to define aspects of the Unified Communications service and requirements through its lifecycle for the Pegasus Unified Communications project. This Service Design Package must be developed and maintained in accordance with the CCEB Pegasus Programme Capability and Project Lifecycle and ISS Capability Introduction guidelines. You will be required to give specialist advice and guidance and provide support to National and International Pegasus Project Team on the concepts and principles of voice and video conferencing, packet-based and switched networks and much more! Skills & Experience • Knowledge of MOD VTC systems - 20% • Integration of VTC systems over networks - 10% • Knowledge of communications bearers e.g. ISDN, SATCOM - 35% • Knowledge of IP at all levels - 35% Work Location ISS, Building 405, Spur D1, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR Working Arrangments All tasking will take place from MoD Corsham and you are required 5 days a week, the working day is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. Day visits may be required to UK. Overnight visits will only be permitted if permission is sought in advance. There may be a requirement to travel overseas, this will be determined by the Project Manager. Travel and subsistence will be provided for off-site working. All resources will be provided and access to the organisation's IT system; no personal or company laptops will be permitted on site. Security Clearance DV Clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the individual is required to work with. Applicant MUST be UK National (No dual nationalities accepted due to Security requirements within the 5-Eyes Community) Additional T&Cs Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment (Inside IR35), take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset.
