VisitGuernsey is the marketing and tourism department that sits within the States’ Committee for Economic Development, and is responsible for the promotion of Guernsey as a destination for leisure and business visitors. VisitGuernsey’s website is our most important marketing tool which needs to remain up to date with technology changes, be SEO compliant, provide sufficient engaging content, and deliver a slick goal oriented customer journey through the site. The current version of VisitGuernsey’s website was launched in January 2015 with the goal of increasing the number of visitors to the site by being SEO compliant and increasing the number of referrals from the site onto trade partners capable of converting the leads generated by VisitGuernsey into bookings for travel, accommodation and activities on the island by having an intuitive and engaging customer journey through the sites content.
