Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (‘CWPS’) is seeking a partner to implement a dedicated Pathology Transport Service which will provide specimen, consumable and chemical transport for CWPS. CWPS is a managed network of pathology laboratories hosted by University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Laboratory services are provided by laboratories at University Hospital, Coventry, South Warwickshire Hospital, Warwick and George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, as well as Queens Hospital, Burton (contracted until 2022). Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (‘CWPS’) is seeking a partner to implement a dedicated Pathology Transport Service which will provide specimen, consumable and chemical transport for CWPS. CWPS is a managed network of pathology laboratories hosted by University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Laboratory services are provided by laboratories at University Hospital, Coventry, South Warwickshire Hospital, Warwick and George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, as well as Queens Hospital, Burton (contracted until 2022). The Pathology Transport Service will include transport between network laboratory sites, from community sites to the network laboratory sites and to other hospital and/or laboratory sites outside of the CWPS network. The Pathology Transport Service must also provide for the safe transportation of Blood, Blood Products, chemicals and may be required to move staff between the sites.
