Tender description

This is a Periodic Information Notice and not a call for competition. It is the intention of the National Transport Authority for a call for competition to be advertised in the week commencing 6.6.2017. The Authority does not require a response to this Prior Information Notice. The Authority intends commencing a competitive procurement process to appoint a service provider to replace existing Travel Information Systems and Services which are currently provided under 3 separate contracts. The Authority is also seeking to develop the customer experience by improving information accuracy, user interfaces, and by adding new customer focused features. The services required include but are not limited to the following: Inter-modal journey planner and customer information; Back office system and data integration application; Management of information services to RTPI displays; Real time displays; Transition; and Contract and data management services. In addition, this service seeks to improve accessibility for users of open data channels and APIs. Given the fast moving nature of this industry, this scope service provides for the eventual development of innovative products and services that may emerge over the duration of the contract.
