Tender description

Yorkshire Water Service Limited (YWS) have ascertained a requirement for a contractor(s) to design, build, commission and provide short term operation of works at two YWS sites in the Yorkshire region. At the Calder Valley Incinerator, Upper Brighouse, a new sludge treatment facility is required which is expected to include; demolition of the incinerator and other redundant site assets, and the provision of a new anaerobic digestion plant. The biogas from the digestion process shall be collected and processed to optimise the net operating costs to YWS. The works at the sludge treatment facility for the Saltend Sewage Treatment Works in Hull will include maintaining the existing sludge treatment capability during the delivery of the works, to provide a new inlet works and an upgrade to the existing anaerobic digestion plant.
