South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Renal Dialysis PTS

Tender description

The aim of the service is to ensure that the overarching principle of Non-Urgent Health Care Transport Service is followed and achieved; patients who are eligible for dialysis transport will receive safe, timely and comfortable transport to their destination, without detriment to their medical condition. The objectives are to ensure that service delivery is high quality, responsive, high performing, provides value for money, is environmentally efficient and innovative in the use of information technology. The services have been divided into two lots: Lot 1 - South Yorkshire Renal Dialysis PTS: providing a service for all patients travelling to all South Yorkshire Renal Dialysis Units or private provider sites for NHS funded treatment. Due to the geographical position of the CCGs, patients may reside outside the South Yorkshire metropolitan area but require transport to sites within South Yorkshire. These are included in the contract and are not considered out of area providing the patient is registered with a South Yorkshire CCG GP. The maximum value of this lot is £12,270,000 over the 5 year contract period. Lot 2 - Bassetlaw Renal Dialysis PTS: providing a service for all patients travelling to Bassetlaw District General Hospital Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit for NHS funded treatment. Due to the geographical position of the CCGs, patients may reside outside the Bassetlaw local authority area but require transport to sites within North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire, North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. These are included in the contract and are not considered out of area providing the patient is registered with a Bassetlaw CCG GP. The maximum value of this lot is £1,250,000 over the 5 year contract period.
