Tender description

Support and Maintenance of the Mercator Cartographic Production System (MCPS). Joint Forces Command (JFC), part of the UK Ministry of Defence has awarded a three year contract to 1Spatial Group Ltd for the support and maintenance of the Mercator Cartographic Production System (MCPS). This contract was awarded under the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication of a Contract Notice pursuant to Article 32(2)(b)(iii) of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (Regulation 32(2)(b)(iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015). This is for reasons connected with the protection of exclusive design rights; Mercator is a proprietary product owned wholly by 1Spatial Group Limited and such services cannot be provided without access to that information. A Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency Notice was published on 14.3.2017.
