Tender description

The service provides specialist support for Stroke Survivors their families and carers resident in Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead. The main outcome is to reduce the risk of future episodes of stroke through increased awareness and understanding. It will also support Stroke Survivors their families and carers to adjust to life following a stroke. This PIN notice relates to a call for competition for Specialist Stroke Support Services with Slough Borough Council in collaboration with East Berkshire CCG's. The service provides specialist support for Stroke Survivors, their families and carers who are resident in Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead. The main outcome is to reduce the risk of future episodes of stroke through increased awareness and understanding. It will also support Stroke Survivors their families and carers to adjust to life following a stroke. Slough Borough Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and 2 CCG's in East Berkshire expects the Provider to continue to develop the service to ensure it meets the needs of the current users, and is adaptable to meet any future change. The latter may include the use of technology to offer a range of accessible options for support. The Provider must be able to demonstrate how they have contributed to Social Return on Investment including supporting people.
