Tender description

Subject to Department of Transport funding, the scheme will provide a third crossing over the River Yare, creating a new, more direct link between the western and eastern parts of Great Yarmouth, a port town on the East Coast of England. Specifically it will provide a connection between the Strategic Road Network (A47) and the South Denes Business Park, Enterprise Zone, Great Yarmouth Energy Park and the Outer Harbour, all located on the South Denes peninsula. The scheme will incorporate a single span Bascule Bridge with a clear span of 55 m between the abutment faces, giving a 50 m navigational clearance. Total Budget for the project is stated below. Please register for the event before 16.6.2017 via our e-tendering system (see below for how to register) by expressing an interest in project NCCT41361 and providing details of the attendees through the correspondence facility. Please note that the event is for prime contractors who have experience of highways works of this scale and complexity. Specialist sub-contractors with experience of designing or constructing Bascule Bridges on this scale are also welcome to attend.
