This relates to services to be operated from Cromer Pier, North Norfolk. The brochure provides more information in relation to the opportunity and can be accessed here; http://www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/business/650.asp The services currently offered include theatre/bar/box office/shop/restaurant but the Council welcomes submissions from operators with alternative proposals to those activities currently offered. The Council is looking for one partner to have overall management responsibility for all facilities and activities delivered from the pier. There is however no expectation that these are necessarily all directly provided by the main operator and some aspects could potentially be let as concessions by the main operator if required. It is anticipated that the initial contract period will operate for a period of 10 years with the potential for up to a further 5 years extension subject to mutual agreement. Contractors should note that it's the Council's expectation that zero subsidy paid by the Council for this contract and potentially there is a profit share returned to the Council. The 22 500 000 GBP contract value relates to the anticipated income any new supplier could gain from the contract based upon current turnover of c. 1 500 000 GBP (not guaranteed) over the total anticipated contract length (10 years + potential 5 year extension giving a total contract life of 15 years). It is not the Council's expectation that any subsidy will be paid in relation to this contract (if any awarded), any income generated will need to be as a result of the supplier's commercial activities on the Pier.
