Tender description

This is an Open Invitation to Tender with any qualified service providers invited to respond. Please note Lot 1 is for Electrical/Mechanical works and Lot 2 is for Plumbing/Mechanical works. Service providers can bid for either or both Lots. The facility comprises a main administration and laboratory building, smolt unit and salmon hatchery, several out buildings with electrical and plumbing services and salmon traps. The refurbishment and extension of the main buildings within the facility were completed in 2002. With a total floor area of approximately 843sqm, the buildings combine a laboratory wing with write up area, two floors of administration/office space with meeting rooms, a basement archive and changing/boot room, a canteen and a Fishery office. The facility and houses are heated by radiators and are naturally ventilated with no A/C units. The laboratories are low risk areas containing very few chemicals/hazardous materials or specialist laboratory equipment. There is a Fume hood and extraction arm, located in the laboratory area, which are covered by specialist maintenance contracts as is the emergency lighting, intruder and fire alarm for the facility as a whole.
