Tender description

The requirement is for the creation of an enabling contract between one single contractor who can provide custom made orthotics to the RPS (Regional Podiatry Services) and DMRC (Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre). The requirement is for the creation of an enabling contract between one single Contractor who can provide custom made orthotics to the RPS (Regional Podiatry Services) and DMRC (Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre). The Contractors must be capable of providing the full range of products specified in the contract documents. All custom orthotics must be suitable to wear within the type of military boots/shoes they were requested to fit on the prescription form. The enabling contract is for the production of orthotics only. No on-site clinical assessment of podiatry patients is required. A total volume of approximately 2 500-3 000 custom made orthotics are estimated to be required per annum, based upon historical usage. The enabling contract is to be in force for a period of at least 2 years. Following that a decision will be made to extend the contract into the option periods or re-tender.
