We wish to purchase an instrument that will measure energy metabolism, including mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis in real-time in up to 8 or 24 wells. Using cells, primary cells, or isolated mitochondria we wish to study the effects of drugs, inhibitors or substrates on key metabolic pathways involved in areas such as cancer biology, metabolic disorders and neurobiology research. We are interested in observing the real-time change in cellular oxygen consumption rate, fatty acid oxidation and glycolysis. This instrument should provide a reliable platform offering reproducible and accurate assessments within and between runs. Please can you include your price and warranty period and any subsequent maintenance costs for up to 5 years.
