Sangley Road and Sandhurst Road Highway Improvements

Tender description

The London Borough of Lewisham is seeking tender submissions to develop a high quality Public Realm Streetscape to regenerate the local shopping parade, whilst targeting accidents, casualties and reduction of speeds to improve safety. The service will include, but is not limited to: • Replacement of footway and carriageway materials, crossings, signage and street marking in accordance with designs and drawings provided in the tender pack. • Replacing the existing surface water drainage to the street and any associated works to sewer connections required. • Installation of street furniture, large trees and demarcation blocks to forecourts etc. • Some alteration/ changes to the lighting for the street. Lewisham are currently engaged in a Lighting Contract with their term contractor: Skanska. Lighting and electrical works will need to be carried out by Skanska (Nominated sub-contractor) • Related electrical and cabling work including new feeder pillars and connections where required. • Installation of new signs and inset bay marking. • Reconfiguration of the existing junctions and the implementation of a raised junction table/s • Working up to boundaries and around forecourts, cellars and voids to shops and businesses in the street It is expected that the successful tenderer will begin provision of the service(s) on 21st August 2017. This Agreement is for an initial period of 20 weeks, with the possibility of extensions, at the Council's discretion. The tender deadline is noon 16th June 2017
